OCR Training Camp

O.C.R.T. Obstacle Course Race Training / Outdoor Fitness Training is a fun and amazing way to get strong, healthy and have fun outside of the gym. Even if you are new to the fitness lifestyle and don't plan on participating in a race, get fit enough to qualify to run one like Spartan Race. Get fit enough to do well without turning white, nauseous, or run out of gas before you cross the finish line.

This is perfect for anyone who wants to run their first mud race or wants to take their OCR training to the next level. We have a challenge for anyone and any level.

Intensity is regulated to ensure all participants are SAFE 

and WORK within the scope of their ability.

Strength Speed Power Endurance Work




WHAT TO EXPECT:

Warm-ups, OCR training, drills and a lot of sweat. A short class after training. Occasionally we include mountain hike/runs. 



LOCATION: 

Mesa, Arizona

Red Mountain Park (East side) Sterling & Brown Rd.

TIME: 7:00 AM  (As sunrise changes in winter, start times may change.)



WARNING: DO NOT eat hot dogs, burgers, fries, soda, pizza, hot-wings, beer or too much beer/liquor on Friday night before boot camp. YOU WILL GET SICK, burn out and possibly throw-up before you're done! Do not consume 5 Hour Energy, Red Bull or Monster Drink or anything like them before, during or after boot camps!



WHAT TO BRING:

1- Lots of cold water & wear sunscreen

2- Fruit (banana/apple/grapes) for snack after.

3- Full Finger Gloves (tires and ropes will hurt your hands-batting gloves are best)

4- A moist towel to wipe down after training feels great.

5- Notebook for after boot camp class notes and assignments

6- Be ready to cheer your teammates to finish well

7- A "Can Do/Will Do" Attitude 





FEES: This year we are giving away 10 sessions FREE to first time participants. 

We make it easy and affordable  so that you enjoy working out with us. We want you to be committed to the training, to develop friendships with your teammates that promote consistency in building strength and endurance. Over the years we've learned that if you pay for it, you will own it and want to return! ...We want to see you every week!

CLASS AFTER TRAINING

A 15-20 minute class is held after training to help the team grasp the SSPEW activities performed  in the Work Out of the Day (WOD), food for fuel, and several other topics. This is a perfect time to cool down, eat some fruit and recharge. At times, there are assignments issued to challenge the team to take their fitness to another level. Participants are asked to bring their  TFO Training Plan Tracker issued on the second training day. It contains the philosophy and terminology used on the course.

Each week the courses get a little harder, so get signed up asap to build your strength and endurance. 

Locations may change to make it more challenging. Please check the calendar for locations or time changes. 

Regardless of where you are in your physical conditioning, we'll customize the training for you. 

 You do not have to compete in a mud race, but we would love to have you there to support the team.

This training camp weekend is in the planning stages. We are designing a special type of training and obstacle course that will take SSPEW to another level. In other words, it will test your whole being, Spirit, Soul, and Body. It is not for everyone, it is for those who want to experience a challenge like never before. Those who want to take endurance and obstacle training to another level.
